Product Overview

The Fully Automatic Organic Analyte Pre-concentrator & Purification System is an automated sample preparation platform designed for the purification and pre-concentration of trace organic analytes in water and other liquid samples.

The system integrates multiple sample preparation processes, including pre-filtration, solid phase extraction (SPE), analyte enrichment, impurity removal, purification, elution, reconstitution, and high-ratio pre-concentration.

It can be configured for a wide range of organic analytes, including but not limited to PFAS, pharmaceutical and drug residues, organic amines, organic acids, and other trace organic compounds.

Depending on the target compounds, sample matrix, and analytical method, a pre-concentration ratio of up to 1000× can be achieved, helping improve sensitivity for subsequent instrumental analysis while significantly reducing manual sample preparation.

Prepared samples can be used with analytical platforms such as HPLC, LC/MS, LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, and IC.

Key Functions

High-Ratio Pre-concentration

The system enriches and concentrates trace organic analytes prior to instrumental analysis. Depending on the application and method configuration, a pre-concentration ratio of up to 1000× can be achieved.

Automated Sample Preparation

Multiple sample preparation procedures can be performed automatically, including:

  • Pre-filtration
  • Solid phase extraction (SPE)
  • Target analyte enrichment
  • Sample purification
  • Removal of impurities and interfering compounds
  • Analyte elution
  • Sample reconstitution
  • Final volume adjustment and pre-concentration

Automation helps minimize manual handling while improving consistency and reproducibility of the sample preparation process.

Selective Enrichment of Target Compounds

Users can specify the target compounds or classes of compounds to be retained, enriched, and pre-concentrated.

Typical analytes may include:

  • PFAS
  • Pharmaceuticals and drug residues
  • Organic amines
  • Organic acids
  • Other trace organic contaminants

The system can be configured according to the chemical properties of the target analytes and the requirements of the downstream analytical method.

Selective Removal of Interferences

In addition to concentrating target analytes, the system can be configured to wash off, remove, or reduce selected interfering compounds and impurities.

This purification process provides a cleaner final sample and can improve the reliability of subsequent instrumental analysis.

Flexible Analyte Reconstitution

After enrichment and purification, target analytes can be reconstituted to a specified final volume using a selected solvent or solution, including:

  • Designated organic solvents
  • Organic solvent mixtures
  • Distilled water
  • Deionized water
  • Buffer solutions
  • Other specified solvent systems

The reconstitution conditions can be selected according to the requirements of downstream HPLC, LC/MS, LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, IC, or other analytical methods.

Compatible Analytical Platforms

Prepared samples can be used for subsequent analysis with a variety of analytical instruments, including:

  • HPLC — High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
  • LC/MS — Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry
  • LC-MS/MS — Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry
  • GC/MS — Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry
  • IC — Ion Chromatography
  • Other compatible chromatographic and mass spectrometric platforms

Typical Applications

The system is suitable for applications requiring purification, enrichment, and high-ratio pre-concentration of trace organic compounds, including:

  • PFAS sample preparation
  • Trace organic contaminant analysis in environmental water
  • Drinking water and source water analysis
  • Pharmaceutical and drug residue analysis
  • Organic amine analysis
  • Organic acid analysis
  • Organic contaminant analysis in wastewater and industrial effluent
  • Complex sample preparation for research laboratories
  • Automated sample preparation prior to LC/MS, LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, and related analyses

Typical Workflow

Sample Introduction → Pre-filtration → Solid Phase Extraction → Target Analyte Enrichment → Matrix / Impurity Removal → Analyte Elution → Reconstitution with Designated Solvent → Pre-concentration / Final Volume Adjustment → Instrumental Analysis

Application-Specific Configuration

Different target compounds, sample matrices, and analytical methods may require different sample preparation conditions. The system can therefore be configured according to specific application requirements.

Before placing an order, users may provide information such as:

  • Target analytes or compound classes
  • Sample type and sample matrix
  • Major interfering compounds to be removed
  • Required pre-concentration ratio
  • Required final sample volume
  • Preferred reconstitution solvent
  • Downstream analytical instrument and method

Our technical team can discuss the application requirements with the user and develop an appropriate sample purification and pre-concentration configuration.
