OFFLINE SENSOR
How it works
Our sensor technology is based on molecular imprinting and piezoelectric effect that enable real-time and label-free sensing of mass changes and energy dissipation on a surface originated from molecules adsorption, and molecular interactions, with high sensitivity and selectivity. Applications of our MIPQS sensors cover a variety of areas including chemical, biological and medicinal, agriculture and materials analysis.

A MIPs sensor comprises one or multiple quarts chips, one or multiple flow cells to hold the quartz chips, and an electronic system. The imprinting principle is illustrated in the scheme shown below. The quartz chip is coated with a thin layer of our proprietary molecularly imprinted material, which has complementary molecular cavaties with the same size, shape and interactions as the template and analyte molecules, allowing highly sensitive and selective sensing.

After connecting the flow cell with the electronic system, voltage could be applied into the quartz chip generating frequency signal based on piezoelectric effect, which is then recorded by the aquisition software.

Upon introduction of the samples containing target analyte molecules, the target molecules could selectively re-bind to the imprinted cavities on the sensing quartz chip causing its mass changes, which changes frequency signal and energy dissipation.

The frequency changes could be quantitatively correlated to the analyte concentration due to the molecules absorption, and molecular interactions on the sensor imprinted surface.
